Are you natural or permed and why?
I have permed hair but its kind of not permed properly, I leave it on for a short period of time if that makes sense but i don't want to get controversial. My hair is still in a natural state because its just that I'm trying to take down the curl pattern or texture just slightly. You know how people say they are 1b,4b or whatever, I have really soft hair so i don't really need to perm my hair i can get away with blow drying it which is what i do most of the time because i only perm my hair twice a year and reason why i do it is because at some point is just lifting up my hair and not showing the length that I'm getting, so then i just perm it.
How long have you been natural ?
I mean I have seen a baby picture of me at 4 ad i had permed hair but i don't really have memories of that. Its been between natural to permed, to permed hair thats just grown out, to jheri curl, so i can't really remember a time period were i was completely natural.
What's your favourite protective style ?
My favourite protective styles are a wig and a U part. I find it easy to be able to change looks that way and that way I can have long hair or not long hair were i pull my own hair back into a ponytail and have e the shaggy grungy short hair cut, not that my hair is that short. I prefer it mainly because I can go for a really long blamed out look and not for any other reason really.
Do you do it your self or get it professionally done?
Yeah, I do it my wigs and U parts myself. Its pretty easy just order your hair put on youtube and sit down for about 3 hours.
How do you maintain your natural hair and your protective hair?
Well, I don't do much with my own hair I've done the whole thing of putting in a pack in your hair or deep conditioning but i really a a low maintenances person which is why i chosen the protective styles of a wig or U part. with my own hair i its underneath a wig I just put my hair in a low bun and just twist it and pin it and throw it on. I don't do braids or anything because i don't want to strain my scalp or ruin my edges and its easier for me because then i don't need to find someone to do all of that for me. I actually decided to do wigs after a U part because after a while my leave out was breaking and the whole maintenance of having to straighten your hair to blend it at was not something that was benefiting my hair in the long run. I wouldn't say a U part is something that I'm using right now but i might after my leave out hair gets a bit better.
What are staple hair products?
My staple hair products are or is water. I literally do nothing with my hair and I'm not trying to say that i have amazing hair that can do anything and grow on its own, I have had horrible hair that doesn't listen to you and doesn't grow after a certain point. The growing isn't consistent, I have bleached my hair and had all kinds of colours, cut my hair several times. I've done the olive oil Randall those treatments that people say helps your hair but i noticed that my hair just needs space to be left a lone just like me. It just needs to be hydrated so if i have it underneath a protective styleI will just keep it wet or braid it and put some water on it and just let it always be moist because dry hair sent going to get in anywhere.
- Tresemme naturals - Shampoo & Conditioner ( every 3 months)
I just let the grease get from my scalp into my hair when i brush and thats it moisturising its self naturally and i don't want to keep washing my her because then i actually have to put products in it.
Worst/Funniest hair experience?
One time when i had deep teal/green hair and i had so much new growth that i had to take car off. I decided to buy a box of bleach, i know my hair so buying a box a bleach isn't that crazy but this one was a bit different and i left it on just for a short while. When i washed it out it was platinum blond not even kidding, I've heard how people said you can't get it in one go but i got it in one go using this one product from schwarzkopf, so if you want to go platinum blond it will make you in one take. I was a bit surprised by how quick I went blond even though i left it on for a short period of time because i needed my hair to get to a brassy orange texture not blond other wise when i put on the manic panic it would just not be the same colour. I went on and put on the hair dye and it was ocean turquoise, so very very very light blue and the rest of my hair was deep green and i didn't even get to close to the root so you could see black, turquoise, dark green which was not a nice look. The next day i had to just go with a hat on and buy a box of black dye and dye all of my root to go for the whole deep dye thing that everyone was doing.
What are your hair aspirations?
short term hair aspirations would be to get past my boobs, well it kind of already past my boobs so a bit more. Long term aspirations is to get that Pocahontas hair so i can do the whole colours in the wind.
